So very much confusing to use. Tutorials are very very bad. I could not learn hos To use it.

The further away from the object the higher the accuracy. Even with objects 30m away accuracy is off by 10%. I wanted this app for measuring 5-10m away. The accuracy is off by 30%.

This is actually really fun to use! It works too, but what Ive discovered is that you just have to figure out the height that it works best at like how high up you should hold your phone! It works great!

The help button for this App needs to contain some basic instructions. For example; it is very important that you hold the camera at the same height every time to set distance and measure height and know what height that is for your set up. You also must make sure that the distance between camera and object does not change between setting distance and measuring height. Roybert

Useless app and a waste of money. Does not work

I bought this app. I took a tape measure and I used the app to compare and the results were not even close... Something that was 51" came out at 44" and my truck which is 63" came out at 52". I was really hoping this would work as I need an app for my work to measure tree lines, but the fact is it does not and I tossed away my money on it....

Bought this app while negotiating a new condo (after realizing I forgot to bring a tap measure). It works great! Allowed me to measure everything; even ceiling heights! Proved to be well worth the cost and came in very handy. Easier to use than an actual tape measure.

Surprisingly accurate and helpful. Just be sure youre still when moving iPhone

This is a total rip off Im going to try it again but it didnt work. Dont waste ur money

Its not user friendly but once you apply the setting and get used to it, it works and its good

This app is not accurate on anything and is a complete rip-off. Dont buy it! I dont know how developers get away with posting apps that do not do what they claim,charge for it, and get away with it! Its called fraud! Im tired of paying for apps that dont do what they advertise. Its one thing if its free but when you pay for something you should get a guaranty it will do what it advertises.

Works exactly as described if its used right. Make sure you follow the directions, calibrate your device and use the right lens height.

Its a great thought, if only it worked. I measure something inches away, and its telling me 20 ft. So it definitely does not work. What a waste. At least make it free for a non working app.

This app works excellently, although perhaps the instructions could be clearer based on the handful of disgruntled 1-star ratings. The premise is simple: it uses the Angle-Side-Angle theorem from geometry to determine the distance. You first have to determine the height at which you hold your phone to use the app properly. (The challenging part is to hold the phone at the same height each time.) This is the "side" in the ASA theorem. The app presumes that the first angle (between you and the ground) is 90 degrees. It then uses the phones ability to sense the angle its held at to determine the third angle. From this it can calculate the distance you are from the object in question. As a neat feature as well, it can calculate height. The algorithm is self explanatory once you understand how it calculates distance. The zoom feature is also great for further precision. Its difficult to understand what the disgruntled reviewers were doing wrong, but it has worked excellently for me, to an accuracy of about 2-3%. It makes intuitive sense that it would have poor accuracy for extremely small angles or extremely large ones (e.g., close to 0 or 90 degrees, respectively). An app that garners both extremely negative and positive reviews probably is a scam (with the positive reviews fraudulent ones) or is a good app that may be difficult to use correctly. This app is the latter. I am just an iphone user who stumbled across this app. No financial relationship with the developer to disclose.

This app might be the most worthless thing Ive ever paid for in my life, it tells me thing 5 feet away are 140 feet away (yes Ive calibrated it, yes I read the instructions, what instructions there are) if I take it outside it wont give me the distance for anything. Ive asked for a refund, well see if I get it.

People! This app is AH-MA-ZING!!! The people who say it doesnt work have either A. Not calibrated it or B. Not set the height. Both are super easy to do too. This app replaces a very expensive tool. Unbelievable its only $1.99!!

Great app, much easier to use than the others I have tried. Consistency required a little practice but the good interface and zoom make it a cut above the rest.

I used a plumb bob attached to the bottom of my phone set at 5 foot, and adjusted the height setting to 5 foot. I then laid a tape measure at 20 foot. The distance read 21 feet, but my ceiling read 8.3(very close) Im hoping with some tweaking I can get it a little more accurate. I am planning on using the app to make cubic foot measurements of inside rooms. The measurements do not need to be very accurate, so it probably will work fine.

Does not work. Period. If I need a doctorate to make an app work then its designed poorly. This app is designed poorly. Do yourself a favor and download a free one as I did first. They both work exactly the same...not at all.
